UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA WOMEN'S CAUCUS
LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE
(You may have to download the document in order to view it)
IThe University of California Women's Caucus (UCWC), established in 2016 by the UC Council of Student Body Presidents, is a political coalition that serves to represent the gender needs and interests of women, trans individuals and allies across the UC system. This year is the 2nd annual UC Women's Caucus Leadership Conference, where student leaders and members across the UC will discuss and select issues we, as a political coalition, plan to address in 2017.
This year's conference is taking place at the Student Center at UC Irvine throughout Friday evening, February 10th, to Sunday morning, February 12th. Most workshops and the caucus will take place on Saturday, while Friday night and Sunday morning will serve as networking and connection opportunities for attendees. Sunday will also feature a brief workshop session.
Admittedly, at this conference we cannot and will not be able to address every single problem or affliction that affects womxn [see: "hello flo" for the definition and purpose of this term] in the UC. However, in talking about these different issues and engaging the community in difficult discussions, we hope to conclude this conference by selecting specific political advocacy issues and setting the path to find solutions for the issues that have risen.
